“One thing should be certain, though: the unipolar world is over (for now) and the United States is falling behind its competitors (particularly China). It must therefore quit being pulled into unnecessary conflicts; stabilize the world system as best it can; and focus on investing and developing the tools needed to leapfrog the world as the United States did during the Reagan years.”
“Trump and Putin need to leash the dogs of war and open the art of the deal. The United States and Russia should be partners, not enemies.”

“This show of solidarity between the United States and Israel was the best thing that could have been done after recent developments in the Middle East. Although, there are no guarantees. But, all that the United States can do is to effectively dance with the ones who brought them: the Israelis and the Arabs. And, as Netanyahu remarked following his meeting with Trump today, the Arabs are closer with Israel than ever before–they are united by understandable fears of a rising Iranian hegemony in the region.”
“America’s political class—the so-called foreign policy experts—failed this country royally in the post-Cold War era. The United States and Russia should be running the world. Instead, Russia and China are set to destroy the world order. Just wait for China’s petro-yuan project to take full form. Then even the threat of American sanctions directed against Russia, Iran, or North Korea will no longer hold any weight.”
“Meanwhile, the petroyuan would allow countries like Russia and Iran successfully to circumvent Western economic sanctions, thus their threat to the West would increase tenfold. We are already seeing how Russia’s increasingly close relationship with China—and Iran’s alarmingly close relationship with both China and Russia—has damaged American national security. Imagine how dangerous things would be for the United States if these powers could completely remove the economic threat that America posed to them.”
Noted author, David Archibald, writes, “Mr President, be careful what you wish for. Some of those Nordic types might look pleasant enough but they could have communist tendencies and be just as nasty as the people from those other countries you referred to.”
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s days are numbered, as geopolitical analyst, Brandon J. Weichert explains to Chris Buskirk of the Seth & Chris Show.
